For years i didn't think i could get involved because most of my shooting was either 600 yard prone NRA F Class shooting or 100 yard practice (which seemed silly if all i was practicing for was FTR)...
Well, after attending a competition prep course and reading/watching quite a few youtube videos I realized i was an idiot and 70%+ of my shooting should be fundamentals at 100yards.
I ran across Jim See's 40 Rounds Perfect Practice post and was inspired. I put together the following training outline based on his recommendations. I shot it for the first time today, and let me tell you I NEEDED IT. I have alot to improve on, but now i have a structured model to go on, and by keeping an after action report and taking notes during the course of fire i'll hopefully be able to improve at a pace i'm looking for.
Without Further Ado: Adrian's Practice Routine for 100 yards (as of 6/3/2016)

I've a very detail and data driven guy, so without taking notes and creating an AAR that i can review and work on, i think i'm just wasting powder, so here's how this session went. Enjoy! and don't laugh too hard, it was humbling considering how good i THOUGHT i was going into it.
AAR - 6/3/2016
Stage 1
Notes:
1.
Build position as stable as possible, it’s
untimed after all
2.
When possible build position against right
angles, as those proved to be the best shots this time
3.
Check and verify NPOA EVERY SHOT, build it,
trust it, send it
Results:
Stage 2
Notes:
1.
Don’t relax because this should be the “easy”
stage. Build NPOA, trust it, send it
2.
Be very conscious of respitory pause and shoot
in cadence. Few shots were pulled due to
holding pause too long and causing me to take a bad shot
Results:
Stage 3
Notes:
1.
Need to use shot timer to cut down on first shot
time and understand splits. Left 1 shot
on table because I wasn’t able to get it off
2.
Back off on magnification to eliminate searching
with scope on full power. Came off
between shots 4 and what should’ve been 5 and wasted precious time getting back
on target before I could send another shot
Results:
Stage 4
Notes:
1.
On smaller targets make extra sure you have a
good picture, otherwise you’re wasting a shot as I did with shot #2 (should’ve
hit tiny right dot)
2.
Understand and working on timing and splits, I used
IPSC shot timer on this drill and finished with 8 seconds, could’ve used some
of those to make better shots and more hits

Time-4.93 Split-0.0
№2 Time-9.96 Split-5.04
№3 Time-14.17 Split-4.21
№4 Time-18.03 Split-3.87

№3 Time-14.17 Split-4.21
№4 Time-18.03 Split-3.87
№5 Time-22.91 Split-4.88
Results:
Stage 5
Notes:
1.
If there is a mag change, ANTICIPATE IT, I forgot
in the moment and spent ~15 seconds before I realized what happened, I ran the
first mag dry and wasn’t ready to drop and load #2…DOH!
2.
Trust your misses, if you’ve come this far,
chances are you aren’t making wild and crazy changes shot to shot. I took an
extra shot on target #1 thinking I probably pulled something so I made the
adjustment and was dead on for shot 3, on second target however I knew my hold
was right so I had just shot too low in my breath cycle so I squeezed 2nd
shot off and was still on target
i. №1 Time-16.53 Split-0.00
№2 Time-23.3 Split-6.77
№3 Time-31.73 Split-8.43
№4 Time-39.51 Split-7.78
№5 Time-45.72 Split-6.22
i. №1 Time-16.53 Split-0.00
№2 Time-23.3 Split-6.77
№3 Time-31.73 Split-8.43
№4 Time-39.51 Split-7.78
№5 Time-45.72 Split-6.22
Results:
Stage 6
Notes:
1.
Pulled one shot by not verifying NPOA
2.
Also realized after more semi-unstable shooting
that a muzzle brake would help keeping on target
3.
All but 1 round was within a 2MOA target so I’m
moderately happy
Results:
Stage 7
Notes:
1.
Pulled one shot by not verifying NPOA
2.
All but 1 round was within a 2MOA target so I’m
moderately happy, shot 2 extra due to not finishing previous stages
